Grant one day’s salary extra for every 6 working days to all Postal staff that are on the duty during Nationwide lockdown period- SG FNPO send letter.

To,
The Secretary
The Department of posts
Dak Bhavan New Delhi-

Respected Sir,
Sub: Request to grant one day’s salary extra for every 6 working days
who are on the duty during Nationwide lockdown period.

State Bank of India issued memo No E-Circular SL NO 1777/2019-20 dated 27/03/2020 has clearly stated that it has been decided to pay one day’s salary (Basic Pay and DA) extra for every 6 working days for those who worked during National Lock down.  The amount will be payable to all the staff members of the SBI who are on duty from 23/03/2020 to 14/04/200 or till the end of the Nationwide lockdown period.

In this hour of crisis the Government of India, enlisted the Postal Service as the essential service. We the   postal officials working with basic minimum preventive materials and rendering yeoman service to the needy and downtrodden by effecting social security, pensions, cash transactions where, no bank serve the cash to the interior villages. The postal staffs struggling every day to reach the offices by paying a hefty amount to the private vehicles like a car for to reach interior places. Thus the postal officials on one hand exposing themselves to the deadly virus and on the other hand incurring expenditure too to provide the service without extra remuneration

In view of the above it is requested to grant one day’s salary extra for every 6 working days to all Postal staff that are on the duty during Nationwide lockdown period.

Anticipating your immediate action and reply

Thank you,

Yours Sincerely.

B.Shivakumar.
Secretary General.
