Lockdown, Day 47: Homecoming
Sixty-four flights. Two naval ships. A dozen
countries. And 15,000 stranded Indians. Yesterday, the subcontinent
began one of the biggest evacuation exercises in the world - the Vande
Bharat Mission.
In another major move, the health ministry relaxed the norms for the
discharge of COVID-19 positive patients. Now, people who show mild or
moderate symptoms can be discharged from hospitals without the need for a
test to confirm if they are COVID-19 negative
or not; this move is expected to cut down on the use of test kits.
