India Post in Talks for DHL: India Post is in talks with DHL, a global logistics company, to provide speed post to all countries. Postal Secretary Pradeepta Kumar Bisoi said in a statement that the company is partnering with DHL to achieve more revenue through Speed Post. Negotiations with them are in the final stages and a decision will be taken soon. Indian Post is currently distributing Speed Post to 100 countries.
Due to the impact of COVID-19, India Post’s total revenue fell to Rs 1,002.75 crore in the current financial year. This amount is Rs. The segment, which currently generates most of its revenue from banking related services, is also looking to compete with private players for e-commerce deliveries in major cities. According to the 2020-21 annual report, India Post aims to achieve 10% revenue market share in the domestic courier, express and parcel sector by 2024.
