Sub: Regarding Booking, Processing, Transmission and Delivery of parcels on two consecutive Gazetted holidays in April 2022.
In
view of two consecutive Gazetted holidays on 14th and 15th April 2022
and to ensure that there is no accumulation of parcels at Parcel hubs /
Nodal Delivery Centres, Circles are requested to make necessary
arrangements for bulk booking of parcels at BNPL Centres, BPCs, Bulk
Booking Centres identified for bulk customers and booking of parcels for
retail customers at 24*7 counters. Circles are also requested to ensure
smooth processing of parcels at Parcel Hubs on both Gazetted Holidays,
transmission through RTNs / Sections as the case may be and same day
delivery of parcels through Nodal Delivery Centres.
2.
Departmental staff deployed on these gazetted holidays be given
compensatory off / OTA as per the extant rules. Outsourced staff
deployed for this purpose at BNPLs / Booking Centres / Parcel Hubs / RTN
/ NDCs be paid as per the approved rates of wages.
