ACCUMULATION OF EARNED LEAVE
Upendra Singh Rawat:
Will the PRIME MINISTER be pleased to state:-
(a) whether the Government is considering any proposal to allow Earned
Leave accumulation by Government servants beyond 300 days and
discontinue with the practice of lapse of Earned Leave to enable
Government servants to avail these leaves in case of medical
emergencies;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (c): No Sir. The existing provisions of the Central Civil
Services (Leave) Rules, 1972 with regards to medical emergencies for
Government servants, are considered adequate.
