Minimum SB Account Balance in Post Office Rs.500/- | Message from DDG
SMS is being sent to 87 lakh Post Office Savings Account holders with balance less than ₹500/- and mobile number seeded requesting them to increase their balance to a minimum of ₹500/-.
Circles are requested to sensitize and alert the post offices to
encourage such customers. Each such account will fetch us ₹219/- per
year, if balance increased to ₹500/-.
